Since 1946, thousands of PYSO alumni have graduated from the Orchestra and moved on with their lives, some staying in Pittsburgh, others traveling the world. Many have gone on to professional music careers in major symphony orchestras both here and abroad. Still many others, while not active as performing musicians, continue to support classical music in many ways.
